Mini Backlight & Debug Control Board

This compact circuit board serves as an interface between a backlight system (not included) and the buttons of your toy.

This module is for experienced modders only. It is supplied without instructions or support of any kind, other than the pinout and an example installation photo.

  • LED Control: Toggle the LED with a long press of the C-button.
  • Debug Mode: Toggle the Debug mode with a long press of the A-button.

Despite its tiny size, it can fit into any Tamagotchi with ease.
Convenient pads facilitate soldering, eliminating the need to wire directly to the microcontroller pins.

The board includes a 470-ohm resistor at the LED output pad, which I have found to be the optimal value for a backlight that is neither too dim nor too bright.

Alternatively, the "debug output" can be used to control any jumper on the board, such as a region or version jumper!

Note: If you do not utilise the "debug" or "LED" feature, you should bridge their input pad to the adjacent ground pad.
